Mood Makers: A Night of Design, Insight & Inspiration

Our first-ever design event, hosted at The Tile Collective Herston and led by the brilliant Eliza Grace Interiors, brought together homeowners, renovators, industry friends and tile lovers for a night dedicated to creativity, inspiration, and truly considered design. And if you missed it, don’t worry — we captured every bit of the magic.

The evening opened with a guided presentation from Eliza Grace, where she shared her personal design philosophy and how she approaches pulling together a space that feels both elevated and authentic. From there, it flowed naturally into a hands-on workshop — samples were gathered, mood boards were built, and Eliza made her way around the room offering individual guidance and insight tailored to each guest’s vision.

I had so much fun meeting you all, teaching you some tips and tricks about finding your unique design style and getting creative making some beautiful flatlays.”
 — Eliza Grace

What made the evening so special wasn’t just the format. It was the energy in the room. Between the styling stations, the grazing table, the bar, and the hum of conversation, we found our community — and a shared desire to create something meaningful.

Spotlight: The Winning Mood Board

Among the many mood boards styled that night, one in particular stood out. Teagan, a local artist, brought together soft, coastal tones with thoughtful contrast and texture to create a mood that felt calm, layered, and completely her own.

Her work not only shone through on the night, it earned her the top prize:
a one-on-one design consult with Eliza Grace and up to $1,000 off her next tile order with us.

Just The Beginning

Whether you joined us on the night or are discovering it here for the first time — thank you for being part of The Tile Collective’s growing design community.

Mood Makers was a chance to slow down, think deeply about the spaces we live in, and explore how tiles can do more than just fill a surface — they can set the tone for how a space feels.

We’re already thinking about where Mood Makers could go next — and we’d love your input. If you’d like to attend a future event, let us know here:
