A seamless balance of form and feeling, the project captures contemporary living through a soft, tonal palette led by warm travertine textures and natural finishes.
The Material Palette
At the heart of the design lies The Tile Collective’s Travertine Cross Cut White, a tile that celebrates natural variation and subtle movement. Its creamy undertones create a grounded, inviting base that extends fluidly across floors and walls.
Both rooms feature our favourite new arrival: Mini Arch Mosaic Travertine, a sculptural detail that introduces curvature and tactile contrast. The mosaic’s soft repetition of form catches light beautifully, enhancing the sense of craftsmanship within each space.
While both bathrooms share the same tonal foundation, XBathrooms have differentiated them through thoughtful detailing: a shower niche feature wall in the main bathroom, and a half-height feature wall in the ensuite - each offering a distinct interpretation of the same material story.

The Design Language
The overarching style of these spaces can best be described as contemporary with Mediterranean undertones - a look that’s rooted in the natural, tactile beauty of stone, but refined through a distinctly modern lens. Rather than embracing the cooler, sharper minimalism often seen in contemporary bathrooms, this design leans into warmth and softness.
The travertine’s creamy cross-cut veining provides visual movement that feels organic, while the sculptural Mini Arch mosaic introduces gentle curvature, echoing architectural forms found in coastal European design.
The Finishing Touches
Every element in this project has been thoughtfully layered to create harmony and balance.
The stone-look basins echo the travertine’s natural texture, grounding the design in a sense of quiet luxury. Brass tapware and hardware add warmth and refinement, their subtle sheen enhancing the palette without overpowering it. Natural oak cabinetry bridges the softness of stone and metal, bringing warmth and tactility to the contemporary layout.
